Run For The Son, Shoal Lake May 26, 2013

Members and friends of CLR at Shoal Lake Baptist Church
Orderly parking Eh!
       On May 26th, 2013, like an old Canada Goose CLR on the invitation from Merle and Glenda and the good folks at the Shoal Lake Baptist Church returned to complete our Run for The Son  for 2013.
The weather was threatning, but with the technology of today it looked like we could ride without getting any rain. It was very dull with a south east wind and a temperature of 12 c.
        The ride was very nice and the writer noticed that most of the fields had been seeded and waiting for some warmth from the sun. That will come. We had been advised that the service was in our hands due to the local pastor being away from town. That was OK since we have our members tuned up for doing just that. (See some of the pictures here)
Back from Shoal Lake and just talking bikes
        Following the service were treated to a great lunch by Chef Cody and a few others from the local church. After putting away several sections of pizza and coffee, a bit of cake and the always present motorcyclist staple ICE CREAM we were ready to head back to Brandon.

Dinner at Montana's
      Once there, we all proceeded to Montana's for some more food (like we needed that)  and a little bit of reflection and relationship sharing.  The day ended just as the rain started. God is good all the time!

Brandon Correctional Visit May 2013

On May 25th Christian Light Riders attended at BCC (Brandon Correctional Center). This one was the first of two visits planned for this year. CLR has been attending BCC for about 8 years and only missed in 2011 due to the floods in the area. There were approximately 12 people with motorcycles. The results of that visit was 39 persons prayed for including 4 salvations and 6 re-commitments from inmates attending. There was approximately 175 men and women that joined us in the yard to kick tires, have pictures taken, listen to a short message and seek prayer from the members of CLR.

King Jesus through John 15:7&8 informs Believers;
if you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples”. NIV
