Once again this year CLR participated in helping out with the Alzheimer poker derby. This is about the 11the year that we have been involved. This year it was held in the downtown location closing off 9th street just south of City Hall.This location was first used in 2011 because the floods of that year ravaged the park we have been using previously. It has proven to be very suitable and to all participants and volunteers seems to be favored over the park location.
This year there has been an increase in participants even though rain was threatened for the region. We did have a few riders running through localized rain showers and the site of the games received a good downpour just prior to the games starting. No harm done.
